Snowstorm in New Mexico Mountains
Twilight in late autumn in Northern New Mexico is beautiful. The quality of light there is so awesome. It's so clear!
This evening I was in a race to get home through the Sangre de Cristo mountains before that approaching blizzard caught up. The sky was so dramatic, I had to stop and photograph the clouds. It soon began pouring snow as I neared Angel Fire and the red mountain grit they put on the roads made the wet pavement shine like blood. No wonder the name Sangre de Cristo - blood of Christ.
