San Francisco wild parrot

San Francisco wild parrot Post Card from Zazzle.com

I was lucky enough to get up close and personal with the famous “Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill” when they used to hang out in a small one block square park where people used to go to feed them before the feedings were banned a couple of years ago for their own protection.

They had become so tame, people were trying to walk off with them. For that reason, I can’t divulge exactly where this photo was taken but you can see how close the high rise building is in the background.

I have several photos of them but since they no longer hang out in the park, I've been unable to get more as they fly all over the city and no longer keep their afternoon feeding appointment at the park like they used to.
