Badlands National Park, South Dakota

Badlands National Park, South Dakota

The Badlands, home of the Lakota & Dakota became a National Park in 1939. The sedimentary deposits that make up the landscape creates muted hues of colors. Each layer of deposits dates the rock ranging back to 80 million years ago. Also inside the part is untouched prairie land. This area is one of my personal favorites.
