Derbyshire, UK

Late summer on the Trent & Mersey canal at Shardlow in Derbyshire, UK, with one of the typical canalside pubs that make cruising the waterways such a pleasure! The berries in the foreground are rowan or mountain ash. Commercial traffic is almost non-existent on Britain's canals, and the many boat hire companies and hotel boats make this an easy to organize vacation and a wonderful way to see Britain from the slow lane.
