Former head office of the Holland America line, now Hotel New York. Rotterdam, Holland.
From this place the ships of the Holland America line once set sail to Ellis Island in New York. For many European immigrants in the USA, this quay is the last place in the old world that they visited. Many bid their final farewell here to their family and friends.
