Barnegat Inlet, New Jersey
Barnegat Lighthouse, known to locals as "Old Barny" was designed in 1855 by George Meade who later commanded the Union army at Gettysburg. Located on the Barnegat Inlet along the Jersey Shore, it is a favorite winter destination for birders looking for wintering sea ducks.
