Loiza, Puerto Rico
On a sunny day in Loiza, Puerto Rico I walked with my son to the beach to find seashells...instead, we saw the crystal blue waters from behind the palm trees and decided we had to capture it's beauty. Loiza is a small town west of San Juan which was populated by freed or escaped African slaves during the town's first years. Years later, many in Loiza still live below poverty levels...yet the beauty of the beaches is truly a beach lover's dream.
