The Matterhorn, Switzerland

At nearly 15,000 feet high, the Matterhorn, overlooking Zermatt, is one of the highest peaks in the Pennine Alps between Switzerland and Italy. This photograph shows two snow covered faces, with the peak in a cloudless blue sky above a valley with alpine forest on the left and rock faces on the right.
