Barnegat Light, New Jersey, USA
The Barnegat Lighthouse, located at Barnegat Light, NJ, is one of the most famous of the New Jersey landmarks. It was designed by Lt. George Meade, who later was defeated Robert E. Lee at Gettysburg (at the base of the lighthouse is a bust of Meade).
The lighthouse is still in use, and is an important navigation feature at the entrance to Barnegat Bay.
